 Volkswagen officials have chilled a power struggle between CEO Herbert Diess and labor chief Bernd Osterloh, allowing the company’s electric vehicle plans to move forward. More at Reuters. 

 Electric vehicle start-up Canoo unveiled its new MDPV delivery van this week in advance of its public debut next week on the NASDAQ and production sometime in 2022. More at CNBC. 

+   NASCAR completed the first superspeedway test of its next-generation 2022 race car at Daytona this week with Chris Buescher of Roush Fenway Racing at the wheel. More at NBC Sports.

  1. People in the know say Tesla’s battery cost is already under $100/kWh. If GM and ford can achieve that, game over for ICE.
