 According to a Wall Street Journal report, General Motors will revive the Hummer name (but not the brand) on a GMC electric pickup scheduled for introduction in 2022. More at Car and Driver. 

 Car sales in India fell by a record 19 percent last year as a slowing economy made consumers reluctant to buy, and the decline is expected to continue in 2020. More at Autoblog.

 The first production Duesenberg passenger car, a 1921 Model A coupe, was donated to the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum by the family of the original owner. More at Hemmings Daily. 

 Two General Motors engineers were arrested for allegedly racing two 2020 Chevrolet C8 Corvettes on public roads near the Bowling Green, Kentucky plant. More at CNET Roadshow. 

+   The daughters of Kathleen DuRoss Ford, widow of Henry Ford II, charge that she is being abused and exploited by her companion, Florida attorney Frank Chopin. More at the Detroit Free Press. 

.+   Dakar Rally officials have cancelled the eighth stage for the motorbike and quad categories following the death of Portugese motorcycle veteran Paulo Goncalves. More at Racer.

  1. It’s horrible to read that Mrs. Ford is in an abusive environment. Even the very wealthy are vulnerable, what a shame.
