+   Renault and Nissan have announced they will work more closely together to produce electric cars as they detailed a $26 billion investment plan over the next five years. More at Reuters.  

 Gordon Murray Automotive has revealed the T.33 supercar, a less expensive variant of the T.50 powered by a normally aspirated 607-hp V12 engine with a price tag of $1.85 million. More at Car and Driver. 

 The Ford Motor Company is celebrating the production of its 40 millionth F-Series light truck, an F-150 Raptor, since the automaker’s truck line was introduced back in 1947. More at Autoblog. 

 The Singapore Grand Prix, which has not been held since 2019 due to COVID, will remain on the Formula 1 calendar for seven years with the signing of a new contract. More at Racer. 

 Electric Rivian startup Rivian has quadrupled the production of the R1T pickup at its Normal, Illinois assembly plant in the past month as it works to fill some 56,000 orders. More at The Drive.

 Subaru announced that it will offer a station wagon version of the WRX for the first time since 2014, but only for Australia with no chance of an appearance in the USA. More at Road & Track. 

  Global autonomous vehicle startup TuSimple will construct a million-square-foot facility at the AllianceTexas industrial development in North Fort Worth, Texas. More at The Detroit News. 

 Bentley will launch its first battery-electric vehicle in 2025, likely based on the Volkswagen Group SSP platform, as it plans for an all-electric product line by 2030. More at Autoweek. 

 Veteran motorsports journalist Robin Miller, who passed away in August at the age of 71, is the winner of the National Motorsports Press Association Pocono Spirit Award. More at Jayski.

While not stated in the link, one article I read said Ford was sending the truck to a dealer in Texas, but not giving out the information to them or the buyer that it was the 40 millionth F series truck. Apparently, they know which serial number it is, but don’t want the publicity from it? Seems kind of strange, what are they hiding? I’m a loyal Ford owner, but not in the market for anything new from them or anybody else anymore.
