+   After taking on $72 billion in new debt due to COVID-19, the global auto industry may not return to its previous sales volume until 2025, according to AlixPartners. More at The Detroit News. 

+   According to  insider gossip, the upcoming 2021 Mustang Mach 1 could be sporting 525 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque, considerably more torque than the Mustang Shelby GT 350. More at Autoblog. 

 British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is considering a plan to give drivers up to  £6,000 ($7,609) to swap their fossil-fuel cars for electrics to boost auto sales. More at Reuters. 

+   Indianapolis Motor Speedway owner Roger Penske says the 2020 Indianapolis 500 will run only with spectators, rejecting the possibility of an audience-free event. More at NBC Sports.

 General Motors Chairman Mary Barra announced that the automaker will donate $10 million to groups that promote racial justice, starting with $1 million to the NAACP. More at the Detroit Free Press. 

+   A study performed by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) estimates that totally driverless cars would not prevent the majority of auto accidents. More at CNET Roadshow. 

 California banking giant Wells Fargo will stop processing car loans from 1,100 dealerships nationwide, a move that is expected to hit used car buyers the hardest. More at Car and Driver. 

 A 2000 Honda Civic SI with just 5,600 miles on the odometer brought $50,000 this past week in an internet auction—more than a new, fully loaded Civic Type R. More at The Drive. 

 The CVS drug chain has partnered with autonomous vehicle maker Nuro to offer prescription deliveries by self-driving vans, starting with a pilot program in Houston. More at USA Today. 

+   Mercedes Formula 1 boss Toto Wolff has thrown his full support behind driver Lewis Hamilton for his angry reaction to the death of George Floyd at the hands of police. More at Motorsport.com.

  1. A 20 y/o Honda? About $5000 would be the mark.And only because of the mileage, normally $500 would top them out.
