 Saying the company was “horrified” and “ashamed,” Volkswagen officials have apologized and withdrawn an Instagram ad for the Golf with apparently racist elements. More at CNN. 

 A former U.S. Army Green Beret and his son were arrested in Massachusetts for their alleged involvement in the escape of deposed Nissan chairman Carlos Ghosn. More at BBC News.

+   Civic leaders in Tulsa, Oklahoma have painted a Tesla logo and the face of Elon Musk on the city’s Golden Driller statue in an effort to lure Tesla’s new gigafactory. More at CNET Roadshow.
