+   Tesla CEO Elon Musk told tech investors in Paris he opposes U.S. tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles, an about-face from his January warning that trade barriers were needed. More at Reuters. 

+   A new report from S&P Global Mobility found that the age of vehicles on the road in the USA rose by two months compared to last year, bringing the average age to 12.6 years. More at Car and Driver. 

  General Motors CEO and Chair Mary Barra, appointed in 2014, says she has no plans to retire anytime soon, citing a need to ensure the company’s transformation is on “a good path.” More at CNBC.

+   A mid-production cycle refresh of the 11th-generation Honda Civic includes the addition of a 200-hp hybrid model, the most powerful non-Type R Civic ever offered. More at Autoweek.

+   The United Auto Workers have negotiated for another 1,412 General Motors  production workers to receive a company buyout offer, says union vice president Mike Booth. More at The Detroit News. 

+   To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Type 35, Club Bugatti France organized a tour from Molsheim to Lyon in which 23 of the historic Grand Prix cars participated. More at Old Cars. 

 Toyota is seeking tax relief for a project totaling $531.7 million in investments at its Texas plant where the the Toyota Tundra pickup truck and Sequoia SUV are produced. More at World Auto Forum.
