+   Four unnamed Fiat Chrysler dealers have charged that retailers were coerced to accept 40,000 unwanted vehicles, recalling the dreaded Chrysler sales bank system. More at The Detroit News.

+   Hyundai confirmed that the Santa Cruz compact pickup has the green light for production in 2022, enabling a $410 expansion of the Montgomery, Alabama assembly plant. More at Autoblog. 

+   The 2020 McLaren Elva roadster will sport a $1.68 million price, 804 hp, and an Active Airflow Management System (AAMS) that eliminates the traditional windscreen. More at The Drive. 

+   Officials in Monterey County, California are removing SCRAMP (the Sports Car Racing Association of the Monterey Peninsula) as operators of Laguna Seca Raceway. More at the Monterey Herald. 

 Tesla founder and CEO Elon Musk announced that the electric car maker will construct an assembly plant near Berlin’s new Brandenburg international airport. More at Automotive News Europe. 

+   In Rome, Ferrari introduced its fifth new model of the year, a sleek front-engine luxury GT with 620 hp called the Roma and priced in the $220,000 range. More at Reuters. 

+   An Allied-bodied Kurtis sports car originally built by Mickey Thompson for the 1955 Carrera Panamericana will cross the block at the 2020 Bonhams Scottsdale sale. More at Hemmings Daily.

 The Ford Motor Company confirmed that its new genre-bending electric crossover to be introduced this weekend by actor Idris Elba will be called the Mustang Mach-E. More at the Detroit Free Press. 

+   Toyota announced that the upcoming 2020 Camry and Avalon sedans will be available with the company’s Dynamic Torque Control all-wheel-drive system. More at USA Today. 

+   Rising star Cole Custer will advance from the NASCAR Xfinity series to Monster Cup in 2020, replacing Daniel Suarez in the Stewart-Haas Racing Ford Mustang. More at Motorsport.com.
