+   The 2020 North American Car, Utility, and Truck of the Year honors have been awarded to the Chevrolet Corvette, Kia Telluride, and Jeep Gladiator, respectively. More at MLive. 

 GMC has rolled out a redesigned 2021 Yukon line with an upgraded interior for the Denali model, available air suspension, a diesel engine option, and an AT4 package. More at Autoblog.

+   At the Geneva Auto Show in March, Volkswagen will introduce the 2020 8th generation GTI with a 2.0-liter engine and a price in the $25,000 to $30,000 range. More at CNET Roadshow. 

 The NASCAR Xfinity series support race for the Brickyard 400 on July 4 will be run on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s road course this year instead of the big oval. More at the Indianapolis Star. 

 +   The 2021 Porsche 718 Cayman and Boxster GTS 4.0 will be offered with a single powertrain choice, a flat six with 394 hp coupled to a six-speed manual transmission. More at The Drive. 

 The U.S. Army will go back to the drawing board after an effort to replace the Bradley Fighting Vehicle proved too challenging for potential bidders on the contract. More at Reuters. 

+   General Motors will investing $40 million at its Spring Hill Global Propulsion Systems plant in Tennessee and $6.7 million at its Tonawanda Engine Plant in New York. More at The Detroit News. 

+   Hyundai’s Genesis has unveiled the production version of its new large crossover SUV, the long-awaited GV80, which will share its platform with an upcoming G80 sedan. More at Autoweek. 

+   RM Sotheby’s will stage a single-collection auction of 230 vehicles on May 1-2 in Elkhart, Indiana for a collector who so far remains anonymous. More at Classic Cars.com Journal. 

  Driver James Hinchcliffe has secured sponsorship for the Indianapolis 500 from Genesys, a telecommunications firm, and is now shopping for a Honda-powered team. More at Racer.
