 General Motors has partnered with Singapore-based SolidEnergy Systems to develop a lithium-metal battery potentially capable of 500 to 600 miles range. More at the Detroit Free Press.

+  Superstar Racing Experience, the new IROC-style invitational series organized by Tony Stewart and Ray Evernham, has released the first photos of its spec race car. More at NBC Sports. 

 In an interview for Italian state television, Stellantis Chairman John Elkann said the premium car brands Alfa Romeo and Lancia will receive greater attention and investment. More at Reuters. 

 Multiple rebates, credits, and incentives have lowered the effective price of the 2021 Toyota Mirai, the automaker’s new hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle, from $50,495 to $17,995. More at Autoblog

+   Photos leaked via China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology show a  production 2022 Honda Civic that looks nearly identical to the prototype revealed last year. More at CNET Roadshow.

+   Jeep officially introduced the much-anticipated 2022 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer full-sized SUVs, with the deluxe Grand Wagoneer topping out at more than $100,000. More at Car and Driver.

+   Formula 1 will test its sprint race concept at Silverstone this year but the first attempt could come at the Canadian Grand Prix if plans for the alternative format are approved. More at Racer.
