 Ford announced that it has finalized the sale of its Sao Bernardo do Campo car and bus factory in Brazil, which manufactured the Fiesta before it was closed late last year. More at Reuters. 

 The Jeep brand of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has circled back to its historic Willys-Overland origins with an off-road-ready Willys edition of the Gladiator pickup. More at Car and Driver. 

 General Motors has selected 48 year-old Delta Airlines executive Paul Jacobson to serve as its new chief financial officer and executive vice president. More at the Detroit Free Press. 

 French driver Romain Grosjean, who will not be returning to the Haas Formula 1 operation next year, says he has made contact with several IndyCar teams. More at Motorsport.com. 

Jerod Shelby of SSC announced that the hypercar maker plans to re-run the record attempt of its 1750-hp Tuatara after its recent 316 mph speed claim was questioned. More at The Drive.

+   Peruvian developer Fernando Palazuelo has scrapped his ambitious plans to rebuild the decaying former Packard plant in Detroit and is selling off the complex. More at The Detroit News. 

 +   A group of business leaders and public policy experts is launching a new body, The Commission on the Future of Mobility, to form policy for self-driving and electric vehicles. More at Autoblog. 

 At Martinsville, four drivers made the final cut for the NASCAR Cup championship round in Phoenix: Chase Elliott, Joey Logano, Brad Keselowski, and Denny Hamlin. More at NBC Sports. 

+   A second recall has been issued for the Polestar 2 electric sedan, this time for nearly 5,000 cars sold in Europe and China to repair a potential defect in the power inverter. More at CNET Roadshow.
