+   Tesla Inc. reported record earnings and revenues in the third quarter, earning $1.86 per share on $13.76 billion in total revenue, beating analysts’  projections. More at CNBC. 

+   Stellantis will partner with South Korea’s LG Energy Solution to manufacture batteries for the automaker’s electrified vehicles made in the USA, Canada and Mexico. More at the Detroit Free Press. 

 Exceeding expectations, the 2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid pickup has been rated at 42 mpg highway and 37 mpg city in its official Environmental Protection Agency testing. More at The Drive. 

 Two-time world driving champion Fernando Alonso says IndyCar drivers deserve to be awarded more points toward the FIA Super License required to drive in Formula 1. More at Racer. 

+   Chevrolet Performance has introduced a big-block V8 based, 632 cubic-inch crate engine that is rated at 1004 horsepower and 876 lb-ft of torque on pump gasoline. More at Car and Driver. 

 Steven Cliff, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) deputy director since February, has been nominated to become the agency’s administrator. More at The Detroit News. 

 The Dutch government’s forensic lab says it has decrypted carmaker Tesla’s closely guarded driving data-storage system, potentially uncovering a wealth of crash information. More at Reuters.

 Taiwan-based Foxconn, better known as the manufacturer of iPhones, has unveiled  three EV concepts under the Foxtron brand that could be built in the Lordstown Motors plant. More at Autoweek. 

 NASCAR has indefinitely suspended Xfinity series driver Carson Ware, son of NASCAR team owner Rick Ware, following his arrest for domestic violence charges. More at NBC Sports.
