Keeping Your Car Safe from COVID-19

Courtesy of Kids and Cars.org, here are some sound and useful tips for protecting yourself and your passengers during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Here at Mac’s Motor City Garage, we’re not epidemiologists. We barely know a virus from a bacterium. But we know this: Anxiety and worry aren’t much good for anything, but knowledge is empowering. As we are all aware by now, the safest course during the coronavirus outbreak is simply to stay home. But unfortunately, that’s not always possible, especially for essential workers and first responders, or for necessary errands such as groceries and medicine.

So if you absolutely must travel by car, here’s the best tutorial we’ve seen on how to limit the risk of exposure to the virus for yourself and your passengers. It comes to us from KidsandCars.org, where the motto is “Love them, protect them.” The relevant link is here:

RISKS OF COVID-19 IN & AROUND YOUR VEHICLE

Many of the directions there are obvious and common sense, while others are thoughtful and provocative. We certainly couldn’t have deduced them all on our own. At any rate, thanks to Kids and Cars for the info. Please be safe out there.
