+   The state of Oregon formally adopted its Clean Cars II plan, setting a target date of 2035 to phase out sales of new gas and diesel-engine vehicles through interim date targets. More at Autoweek. 

+   The USA will receive a few extra examples of the 2023 Polestar 2 BST Edition 270, the special-edition electric hatchback unveiled in June and limited to 270 units worldwide. More at Motor Authority. 

 Car and Driver magazine has compiled a list of the most desirable cars now eligible in 2023 for importation to the USA under the Imported Vehicle Safety Compliance Act. More at Car and Driver.  

+   The European Commission gave a guarded welcome to guidance by the U.S. government that EU companies could partially benefit from the U.S. Inflation Reduction Act. More at World Auto Forum. 

+   Andretti Autosport will reshuffle the driver and race engineering combinations for two of its four full-time NTT IndyCar Series entries for the beginning of the 2023 season. More at Racer.

  1. General Motors was no doubt expecting the battery plant to vote for the union. It might even make things easier for the company.
