+   Chevrolet unveiled the much-anticipated Corvette E-Ray hybrid sports car, which features all-wheel drive, the quickest acceleration in Corvette history, and a price of $104,000. More at CNBC. 

 A Ford battery plant slated for Michigann or Virginia that would have created roughly 2,500 jobs was rejected by Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin due to its China ties. More at The Detroit News. 

+   A new agreement between French carmaker Renault and its Japanese partner Nissan, with Renault reducing its ownership stake in Nissan, could be announced as early as Feb. 1. More at Reuters. 

+   At the Florida RV Super Show, Winnebago introduced the eRV2, a battery-electric motor home concept based on the Ford Transit with 266 hp and 108 miles of range. More at Car and Driver. 

 The NTT IndyCar Series grid for 2023 is now complete as Dale Coyne Racing with Rick Ware Racing has signed Indy Lights driver Sting Ray Robb to pilot the No. 51 Honda. More at Racer. 

+   Japanese auto giant Toyota announced it is projected to build 750,000 vehicles per month in 2023, a modest increase over the nearly 741,000 units per month last year. More at World Auto Forum. 

+   Police nabbed nine suspects while they were allegedly trying to steal a number of Ram 1500 pickup trucks from the shipping yard at the Sterling Heights, Michigan assembly plant. More at Autoblog. 

 General Motors is reportedly considering a small electric pickup for the USA that could be roughly the size of Brazil’s Chevy Montana, but hasn’t yet picked a division to market it. More at The Drive. 

+   In a move widely seen as a political stunt, a group of Wyoming state legislators introduced a bill that would ban the sales of electric vehicles in the state after 2035. More at Autoweek. 

+   Haas Formula 1 driver Kevin Magnussen will not join his father Jan Magnussen at the Rolex 24 at Daytona as planned after undergoing a surgery on his left hand last week. More at Motorsport.com.
