Today’s headlines:

+   One worker was killed and another was seriously injured after a wall collapsed Saturday at the Ford Chicago Assembly Plant on the city’s Far South Side. More at the Chicago Tribune. 

+   Electric car maker Tesla Motors reports it delivered 17,400 vehicles in the fourth quarter of 2015, in line with its forecasts, and a total of 50,580 for the year. More at Reuters. 

+   Hyundai and Kia, South Korea’s largest automakers, are forecasting their weakest sales growth in 10 years as a slump in demand in China and a stronger home currency reduce profits. More at Bloomberg.com. 

+   Specialty German car maker Gumpert has been has been purchased and rebranded Apollo by Hong Kong-based Consolidated Ideal TeamVenture, the same group that bought De Tomaso last year. More at Autoblog.

+   The first stage of the Dakar Rally in Argentina has been cancelled due to bad weather, a day after the prologue stage was abandoned when a car crashed into the crowd and injured eight spectators. More at the UK Guardian. 

+   In a recent interview with British magazine Autocar, Jaguar design boss Ian Callum confirmed that the brand is now developing the replacement for the XJ full-size luxury sedan. More at Autocar. 

+   Bugatti is teasing a video featuring its new 1,500 horsepower Chiron hyper car in advance of its debut at the Geneva Auto Show in March. More at Motor Trend. 

+   One of the two 1953 Cadillacs in existence with spectacular coupe bodywork by Ghia of Turin will go on the auction block at the RM Sotheby’s Arizona sale on January 28-29. More at Autoweek.
