 Ford has reportedly scheduled price increases of $500 to $1250 on the popular Bronco depending on the model, and is increasing prices on some option packages as well. More at Autoblog.

+   Audi is predicting a significant growth in revenue from $64.7 billion to as much as $76.4 billion in 2023, but with smaller profit margins as it produces more lower-priced models. More at Reuters. 

+   Russia’s leading carmaker Avtovaz announced it plans to sell at least 370,000 vehicles this year,  almost double last year’s volume, the Tass news agency reported. More at U.S. News and World Report. 

 NASCAR levied its heaviest fines and penalties in history against all four Hendrick Motorsports team cars for presenting illegally modified hood vents at the Phoenix Cup race. More at Fox Sports. 

+   Rivian and Amazon are in discussions to adjust the exclusivity clause of their agreement for delivery trucks so Rivian can produce and sell more vehicles to boost revenue. More at CNBC. 

 General Motors has appointed Steve Carlise to serve as interim chief while it conducts an external search to replace Chief Marketing Officer Deborah Wahl, who retired. More at the Detroit Free Press.   

+   Cummins Inc. is introducing the Accelera brand to combine all the battery-electric and hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle systems from its New Power Division under a single roof. More at Autoweek. 

+   Volkswagen unvieled the ID.2all, an EV hatchback with 223 hp and 280 miles of range due in 2025 with a price of $26,300, but so far there are no plans to bring it to the USA. More at Car and Driver. 

+   Worldwide’s The Enthusiast Auction on April 28-29 in Auburn, Indiana will be headlined by a 1936 Delahaye 135M and a 1934 Cadillac 355D Eight Stationary Coupe. More at Old Cars. 

+   The Williams Formula 1 team has named a new chief operating officer with Frederic Brousseau joining the operation from aerospace giant Pratt & Whitney, where he was a vice president. More at Racer.

  1. I wish all the automakers would take a greater interest in producing low cost EVs. That would accelerate the changeover as much as anything.
