+   Ford chief executive Mark Fields earned $18.6 million in compensation for 2014 while his retiring predecessor Alan Mulally received $22 million, the company reported. More at Fox Business.

+   In an effort to increase sales volume, Mercedes-Benz will introduce a mid-sized pickup in the next five years in markets outside the United States. More at Reuters. 

+   NASCAR Sprint Cup rookie Kyle Larson was forced to sit out this weekend’s event at Martinsville, VA after suffering a fainting spell (not yet diagnosed) at an autograph session. More at USA Today.

+   The city of Irwindale, California approved plans to demolish 16-year-old Irwindale Speedway, making way for an outlet mall. More at Motor Trend. 

+   Honda Cars India will expand its plant in Tapukara Industrial Area, Rajasthan, investing $60.4 million and adding 600 workers. More at Automotive Business Review. 

+   A former Ford employee and military veteran who suffers post-traumatic stress disorder is suing the automaker for refusing to allow his service dog on the job. More at The Detroit News. 

+   A 1938 Bugatti Type 57C Cabriolet with coachwork by Gangloff will headline the Bonhams Greenwich 2015 auction on May 31. More at Sports Car Digest.

+   Officials have banned GT3 cars at the Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit after a car became airborne and vaulted a fence, killing one spectator and injuring two more. More at Motorsport.com.
