+   General Motors is planning a new family of premium electric pickup trucks and SUVs for its Detroit-Hamtramck plant beginning in 2021, possibly under the Hummer brand. More at Reuters. 

+  By an overwhelming margin, Germany’s parliament has once again voted down a proposal to impose speed limits in unrestricted zones of the world-famous Autobahn. More at The Drive.  

+  Truck maker Volvo Group is preparing for more production cuts after forecasting a slump in deliveries next year in both North America and Europe on weaker demand. More at The Detroit News.

 Harley-Davidson resumed production of its LiveWire electric motorcycle after the assembly line was stopped for several days to straighten out a charging issue. More at CNET Roadshow. 

 Audi’s new sales and marketing chief, Hildegard Wortmann, aims to rejuvenate the brand’s image in the wake of the Volkswagen Group’s dieselgate scandal. More at Automotive News Europe.

 Recipients of Octane magazine’s annual Historic Motoring Awards include the Pebble Beach Concours, Peking to Paris Motor Challenge, and Porsche Cayman GT4. More at Classic Cars.com Journal. 

 An American trademark filing suggests Lexus is about to expand its lineup of SUVs with a range-topping model named LX 600, presumably powered by a 6.0-liter V8. More at Autoblog.
