 Ford Executive Chairman Bill Ford says the Trump administration must negotiate its new trade deals so the automaker is able to plan and invest with “certainty.” More at Reuters.

+   For his Twitter threats to take the company private, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been sued by the Securities and Exchange Commission, which seeks his removal. More at The Verge. 

+   After four years in New York City, Cadillac will move its headquarters back to the Detroit area to the former Lowe Campbell Ewald building in Warren, Michigan. More at The Detroit News. 

 The Toro Rosso Formula 1 team is expected to confirm the return of former driver Daniil Kvyat, now in the Ferrari development program, during the Russian Grand Prix. More at ESPN. 

+   According to a recent AAA study, drivers tend to overestimate the capabilities of advanced safety technology such as emergency braking systems in newer vehicles.  More at USA Today. 

+   In honor of Porsche’s 70th anniversary,  the company will build a series of Porsche 935 tribute cars based on the 911 GT2 R3 and priced at $817,000. More at Motor Trend. 

 A 1956 Ford Thunderbird convertible owned by Marilyn Monroe from 1955 to 1962 will be offered by Julien’s Auctions on November 17 in Los Angeles. More at Classic Cars.com Journal. 

+   BMW’s Designworks studio has partnered with Taiwan-based Eva Air to create its new business-class seating units, designed to optimize space, utility, and comfort. More at The Drive. 

 The 2019 Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance will honor the 70th anniversary of the Volkswagen Beetle in America with a special display category for coachbuilt VWs. More at Hemmings Daily.

+   NASCAR Monster Cup veteran AJ Allmendinger will not return to the JTG Daugherty Racing Chevrolet in 2019, with Ryan Preece rumored as his possible replacement. More at NBC Sports.

Be brave and give the Escalade to GMC. I know that even Rolls-Royce has an SUV now but no luxury car maker should have a truck in their lineup. Dare to be different.
