Cars and Stars–volume three

Because movie actors and rock stars are more interesting with cars included, Here’s another big gallery of celebrities behind the wheel.

Most websites probably take the view that cars can be made more compelling if some celebrities are included—movie stars, musicians, politicians. But here at Mac’s Motor City Garage, we’re gearheads. We tend to take the opposite approach. We find that in some cases, the cars make the people more interesting.

You can find two previous Cars and Stars collections here and here. And here’s a special collection featuring the king of cool himself, Steve McQueen. In the gallery below, we hope you find some images that maybe you haven’t seen before. Please enjoy.

    • I wasn’t that impressed with it when it started, but it has grown on me. I really like the photo of Hendrix above.

  1. Always one of my favorite features on the Garage. Fun to see Frank Lloyd Wright in of his fleet of red Crosleys since he was usually transported in his custom Lincoln. The Three Stooges are always fun to see around cars and George Barris’ campy Sonny and Cher Mustangs fit their public persona perfectly.

At the risk of sounding like a Porsche weenie, the car James Darren is shown with is a 356B Roadster, which would make it 1960-2, not 1956 as noted. I’ll go back to my room now.
