 In Tesla’s 3Q earnings call, CEO Elon Musk said the EV maker is developing a lower-cost car that will be cheaper than the best-selling Model Y and Model 3 and could outsell them both. More at Car and Driver. 

+   In the earnings call, Musk also announced that the company plans to build up to 50,000 Tesla Semis in 2024, which would make it one of the largest Class 8 truck makers. More at Electrek.

+   Six Volkswagen investors filed a case in Germany against the carmaker for refusing to discuss its anti-environmental lobbying activities at the annual general meeting (AGM). More at Reuters. 

+   Autonomous developer Waymo, which has been testing its robotaxis in Phoenix and San Francisco for some time, will now start offering the service in central Los Angeles. More at Autoweek.
