Video: A Miniature Model T Masterpiece

Here’s another magnificently crafted Model T Ford in miniature by Ruben Vinyolas of Argentina.

Fueled by his own limitless creativity and armed only with a copy of Bruce McCalley’s 1994 book, Model T Ford: The Car That Changed the World, Ruben Vinyolas of Buenos Aires builds exquisite miniature replicas of Henry Ford’s most prolific work. (See another of his miniatures here, and visit his website here.) The project began as a gift for his grandson. “What better excuse to play again, like the child we all have inside?” Mr. Vinyolas writes.

In this video, Mr. Vinyolas dives into the construction details of his 1924 Model T roadster, which he rendered in 1:5 scale. Inventing his process as he went along, he cast the engine in epoxy resin and fabricated the body panels in bronze sheet. If, like us, your Spanish is not so good, you can click on the Closed Captioning (CC) icon on the video toolbar and follow along with subtitles in English. As we often say here at Mac’s Motor City Garage, the world is blessed to have artists with such skill, patience, and passion for their work. Enjoy the video.
