Video: A Virtual Lap of the U.S. Grand Prix with Williams F1 Driver Lance Stroll

In honor of this weekend’s United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, here’s a lap of the circuit with Williams driver Lance Stroll.

This weekend marks the 48th running of the United States Grand Prix, currently hosted at COTA, the fabulous Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. (Previous venues for the historic event include Watkins Glen, Long Beach, and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, of course.) To celebrate the annual return of America’s own Formula 1 race, we’re sharing this neat little video of Williams driver Lance Stroll doing a virtual lap of the COTA circuit.

As we figured it, the video serves as an excellent way to get acquainted with the 19 year-old Canadian driver, and to gain a pilot’s-eye view of the awesome 20-turn, 3.426-mile COTA circuit at Formula 1 speeds. We don’t expect to be getting a phone call from team boss Claire Williams with a contract offer anytime soon, so for now this will have to suffice. By the way, the 2018 USGP will be televised live in the USA on ABC at 1:30 PM on Sunday, October 28, and you can find a complete broadcast schedule for practice and qualifying, including channels, airtimes, and rebroadcasts at Motorsport.com. (Thank you, David Malsher.) Video below.
